What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Vision Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

The HOly Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men of God who were inspired by Him, and is the infallible and inerrant Word of God. God is its author, salvation for its end, and it is Truth without any error.
The principles revealed will be the basis of God’s judgment of us. It shall remain for the duration of this world, the true center of Christian unity, and the Supreme standard by which all human conduct, faith, or unbelief, creeds and opinions will be judged.

God

We believe, as the Holy Bible teaches, that there  is one, and only one true and living God, who is an Infinite, Intelligent Spirit, whose Holy name is Yahweh, the Creator and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness, worthy of all possible honor, glory, confidence and love; that is the unity of the God head there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit; three perfect offices, equal in divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

MAN

We believe that man was created in holiness, under the law of Almighty God, his Maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from the holy and happy state; in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but choice; being by nature utterly, void of that holiness required by the law of God, positively inclined to evil; and therefore, under just condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse.

FALL OF MAN

We believe that man was created by the Lord God, in God’s image, under the laws of His Maker; but by voluntary transgression fell from the holy and happy state. As a consequence that today all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but by choice. By nature being void of the holiness required by the law of God, and by nature inclined to sin, and under condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse.

Salvation

We believe that salvation of sinners is wholly of Grace; through the mediatorial offices of Jesus, God’s son who by appointment of God the father, freely took upon Him our nature, yet without sin; obeyed the divine law by His perfect and personal obedience, and by His death made a full atonement for our sins; that having risen from the dead, He is now enthroned in heaven, and in His perfect Person the tenderest sympathies with divine perfections, He is in every way qualified to be a perfect, compassionate, and all sufficient Savior risen from the dead, enthroned in Heaven.

FREENESS OF SALVATION

We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, pertinent and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth, but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the Gospel; which rejection involved him in an aggravated condemnation.

Justification, REpentance, and faith

We believe that the great Gospel Blessing, which Christ secures to such as believe in Him, is justification; that justification included the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood; by virtue of which faith His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God; that it brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity.
We believe that repentance and faith are sacred duties, and also inseparable graces, brought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God; whereby being deeply convinced of our guilt, danger, and helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God in total contrition, confession and supplication for mercy; at the same time joyfully receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life and relying upon Him alone as the only all sufficient Savior.

Baptism & Holy COmmunion

We believe that Christian baptism is immersion in water of a follower of Jesus Christ as Savior, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem, and our faith in crucified, buried, and risen Savior with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; that it is prerequisite, to the privileges of a church relation; and to the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the church by the sacred use of emblems that were used in the N.T., are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ; preceded always by solemn self-examination.

ResurRection

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
